About Me

I'm Olivia Wright, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Magnolia Therapy & Wellness in Northern California. My passion lies in helping couples and adult women navigate the complexities of relationships, identity, and personal growth. With a foundation in Emotionally Focused Therapy and an attachment-based approach, I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their inner worlds and strengthen their connections with others.

The inspiration for developing Menopause-Informed Therapy emerged from my work with couples who found themselves at a crossroads during the menopausal transition. I noticed a recurring theme: partners deeply committed to each other yet feeling disconnected and uncertain about how to bridge the gap that menopause had introduced into their relationship. Traditional therapeutic models often overlooked the profound impact of menopause on relational dynamics, leaving couples without the tools to understand and support each other through this life stage.

Determined to fill this gap, I delved into the intersection of menopause and relational health, integrating psychoeducation about menopausal changes with therapeutic strategies aimed at fostering mutual understanding and emotional intimacy. Menopause-Informed Therapy was born out of this integration, offering couples a roadmap to navigate the challenges of menopause together, transforming potential points of disconnection into opportunities for deeper connection and growth.

Outside the therapy room, I'm a proud GenXer who cherishes time with my family, exploring new cuisines, and indulging in 80s nostalgia. I believe in the healing power of laughter, the importance of authentic connection, and the resilience that comes from facing life's transitions hand in hand with those we love.

“Emotional and relational health during menopause isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. When we name what’s happening, we begin to reclaim our connection, our vitality, and our hope.”
